Job description

  • Lead elicitation efforts with customer team to develop and maintain concept, high-level requirements and functional allocations
  • Guide development of a digital solution for maintenance or calibration equipment capability optimization
  • Define and maintain documentation of solution architectures working with SMEs and developers
  • Conduct system requirements gathering, analysis, development and documentation
  • Support development of user stories with SMEs and developers
  • Participate in Agile methods by developing, managing and reporting iteration status for systems engineering tasks
  • Manage and provide guidance and training to program office team on hybrid waterfall / Agile process for application development
  • Develop means and maintain in-platform documentation of concepts, requirements, architecture, development processes, project status and portfolios
  • Develop project and portfolio documentation standards and guidance for project teams
  • Work with program office and Navy MRO, SCM, PLM teams on enterprise system analysis and creation, inputs and updates to As-Is/To-Be system planning and implementation in CAMEO
  • Support Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AOA)
  • Support data scientists and developers in the practice of the application and training of models
  • Support data scientists and developers with defining and managing process and procedures for monitoring and improving data quality
  • Support development and performance of test plans and procedures
  • Provide inputs to Program Management Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings
  • Provide necessary systems solution documentation and visualization
  • Mentor local junior engineers and analysts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required

Experience:

    • 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area
    • Required Experience:
      • Experience in systems engineering or development
      • Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions
    • Preferred experience:
      • Naval Aviation Maintenance and Calibration policies and procedures or Navy data systems
      • Agile software methodology process and DevSecOps
      • Digital Engineering or Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and modeling language (SysML, UML)
      • Cloud-based Data platforms

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
