JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following elements:

  • Receive communication from customers to resolve issues internally and externally
  • Interact with leadership and operations to manage quality and output.
  • Ensures that our quality meets customer defined requirements in the Product Criteria
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and initiate service when required
  • Support annual physical inventory activities.
  • Supports and is aligned with all EH&S metrics; actively participates, promotes, and complies with all EH&S programs and policies.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

  • BS degree in Engineering and/or a combination of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all strata of the organization.
  • Be punctual in meeting assignments.
  • Have cooperative and loyal teamwork attitude. 
  • Heavy Excel abilities including formulas, pivot tables.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment is strongly suggested

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Employee is required to execute the following:

  • Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items.
  • Lifting intermittently of various items. Typically, assistance would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds.
  • Oral communication via telephone or in person while interacting with customers, suppliers, or other employees.
  • Position may require more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments.
  • Sitting in chairs (swivel, padded, and adjustable). 
  • Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment / product inspections, etc.
  • Standing intermittently.
  • Visual monitoring of computer screens.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The duties of this position are performed throughout the entire floor space. Duties are performed in both an office setting and in manufacturing areas where compliance with applicable safety rules is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is moderate. During periods of travel, duties could be performed in conference centers, restaurants, places of public accommodation, modes of travel, etc.

Supervision:

This position has no direct reports. This could change after evaluation by the Operations Manager and Plant Manager.

This position contributes to the overall performance of all EH&S metrics, on time delivery, inventory management, and the financial performance of the Business Center.

Salary Range: $80-$100,000 salary approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides leadership, direction, and problem-solving skills to eliminate manufacturing conflicts, document improvements, and maintain positive relations with our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Be a customer service liaison between our facility and core injection facility.
  • Will develop and approve new and revised Activity Instructions criteria in the tool and die manufacturing areas. 
  • Is responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, and personnel responsible for the wax areas.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the tool processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials, and equipment specifications as detailed in the Corporate Tooling Manual (TM).
  • Will be responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from a critical process specification and develop a timely and formal reaction plan which will include an escalating help chain system. The help chain system will include the notification of the local plant Operations Manager and Plant Manager. 
  • Responsible for understanding downstream product quality as it relates to die-making and react appropriately to observed conditions. 
  • Will routinely review process for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of approved process.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a core injection pre-shipment process.
