Job description

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager, you are directly involved with leading change and making sure our factory stays World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. As a Process Engineer, you will utilize your full range of Continuous Improvement methods and tools to identify, prioritize, and eliminate factory losses working autonomously or with cross functional partnership. You'll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters - for people and the planet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities with process and packing equipment
Responsible for the improvement of waste and performance metrics for assigned production lines
Increase stability of the production line to support our vision from traditional line teams to a semi-autonomous team
Prioritize projects through data stratification of factory downtime and waste data
Identify growth and savings opportunities within the factory and develop business cases around them
Manage small projects from ideation through implementation
Work closely with operators and maintenance team during continuous improvement activities and act as the technical trainer when needed
Provide coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis, and the establishment of countermeasures
Any other responsibilities as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of hands-on engineering experience within a production facility. CPG/FMCG is strongly preferred.
  • BS in an engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial)
  • Experience executing projects using Continuous Improvement methodology (TPM / WCM /Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits
  • Familiar with controls and automation with Rockwell PLCs
  • Union factory experience

Pay: The pay range for this position is $71,400 to $107,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that areutilizedin making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
