What are Process Engineers (NOC)?

Process Engineers, classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC), are professionals who design, implement, control, and optimize industrial processes, especially in manufacturing, chemical, and related industries. They analyze workflows, troubleshoot problems, and work to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality. Their responsibilities often include designing equipment, developing process simulations, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Process Engineers play a critical role in streamlining operations and reducing costs within organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Process Engineer (NOC), and why are they important?
