We are seeking an Engineering Technician (Electrical) to join our Energy & Industry Team in our Duluth or Minneapolis, MN office.

Position Summary 

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:  

  • Work amongst a team of design engineers and technicians within our electrical discipline to process drawing redlines/comments and update drawings within the AutoCAD software to create detailed and accurate electrical designs, plans, schematics, diagrams, layouts, and details 
  • Ensure drawings are created in accordance with client drafting specifications and standards 
  • Manage drawings and interface with client document management software  
  • Keep up to date with advancements in drafting software and relevant drafting tools 
  • Work effectively in a hybrid work environment 
  • Work in collaborative groups and multidisciplinary technician teams 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Associates degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field  
  • Demonstrated knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365 (i.e. Excel, Outlook) 
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations 

 Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3 years or more of prior relevant experience 
  • Experience reading and interpreting designer/engineer redlines and comments 
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (i.e. Revit) 
  • Experience using macros in Excel 
  • Experience with multi-step command routines/programs (i.e. LISP) 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative group and multidisciplinary team 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to be concise and communicate effectively 
  • Willingness to work overtime if requested 

Salary Range 

  • This positionโ€™santicipatedrate of pay is$24.00- $31.25per hour.(This position is eligible for year-end bonuses and for overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay for hours workedin excess of40 hoursin a givenworkweek.) Offer will bedeterminedbased on the selected candidateโ€™s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
