Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is expected, alongside the ability to work within coordinated design teams and manage drawing deliverables under structured supervision.

Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for bridge structures using CAD and BIM tools in accordance with design specifications.

  • Develop general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction documentation aligned with structural design requirements.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, design mark-ups, and technical inputs to produce accurate drafting outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with drafting standards, QA/QC procedures, and client-specific documentation requirements.
  • Maintain drawing revision control, document tracking, and version management for all project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams for design coordination and model integration within BIM environments.
  • Support quantity take-offs and contribute to design presentation materials for project delivery stages.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and provide technical drafting input related to structural design execution.
  • Provide drafting support for bridge transportation projects while aligning with applicable client and regional standards.
  • Coordinate with distributed design teams across Ontario to ensure consistency in drawing production and project delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience in bridge or transportation structure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or Revit.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and structural design principles.
  • Experience with construction documentation, reinforcement detailing, and technical drafting standards.
  • Ability to manage drawing production workflows, revision control, and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Assets

  • Experience working on Ontario transportation infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, highways).
  • Exposure to BIM coordination processes and federated model environments.
