Responsible for tracking engineering changes and updates necessary documents using Management of Change (MOC) process.Assists in setting up, qualifying and maintaining equipment and machinery.Responsible for trouble-shooting issues and must keep current on latest technology.Acts as primary resource for all existing Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Keep track of engineering changes and update necessary documents utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) process.
โ€ข When required, can assist in setting up, qualifying and maintaining equipment and machinery.
โ€ข Process Automation Engineers devise, build up, mount and keep an eye on instrumentation and control systems that sense, quantify and run functioning processes.
โ€ข Devises specifications and in-depth documentation for their designs. They must be great trouble-shooters and must be up to date with the latest technology.
โ€ข Makes sure that field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks and interfaces are working properly.
โ€ข Build up and instigate advanced testing methodologies and makes use of a combination of testing techniques. They work together with field group, contractors, consulting firms and Suppliers to integrate new technology into existing manufacturing systems.
โ€ข Process Automation Engineers will be the primary resource for all existing Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment and initiatives.
Requirements
โ€ข BS Engineering discipline required
โ€ข 5+ years of manufacturing or related experience required
โ€ข Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process/Low Hazard Operation) experience preferred
โ€ข Process Control systems, preferably Rockwell Allen Bradley.
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
โ€ข Solid understanding of a software development and computer programming.
โ€ข Highly organized and creative.
โ€ข Possess effective engineering leadership skills.
โ€ข Strong research skills.
โ€ข Excellent written and communication skills and proficiency in hardware and software development and troubleshooting.
