Summary
The QC Senior Inspector ensures products meet quality standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance by leading inspection activities, auditing processes and mentoring junior or mid-level inspectors, ensuring their professional development while fostering a culture of high quality and safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provide inspection leadership by overseeing product inspections at different stages of the production process including raw material, in-process, and final inspections to ensure consistent execution of quality assurance procedures across all departments.
  • Ensure that all inspections, tests, and internal audits meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and customer specifications.
  • Take the lead in identifying, documenting, and analyzing non-conformances, discrepancies, and quality issues.
  • Determining the root causes of product defects and recommending corrective actions to improve production efficiency.
  • Ensure welding is performed by qualified welders in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Monitoring weld procedures, production testing and general parameters.
  • In-depth knowledge of inspection techniques, testing procedures, and the use of measurement and testing instruments.  
  • Performing Visual (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT) and Dye Penetrant (PT) Testing in accordance with project, procedure and code requirements.
  • Witness weld tests carried out for Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) in accordance with ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1 and API 1104.
  • Perform layout and final dimensional inspection of fabricated components as necessary.

5 - 7 years of experience in QA/QC inspection or quality management in manufacturing or a related industry.
Language Skills                                            
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills                                                 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability                                                     
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills                                           
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
Technical Knowledge                                              
Advanced knowledge interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications. Must be objective and have good interpersonal and communication skills regarding non-conforming issues.

  • Must have clear driving record and be able to pass and annual visual acuity exam.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on quality control matters.
