Position Description: The Process Engineer provides technical support for all areas of manufacturing. Organizes, analyzes and presents interpretation of data for operational issues or engineering projects of minor scope and complexity. The Process Engineer shall be able to define process requirements necessary fulfill area technical and equipment needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the manufacturing activities of printing, die cutting amp; folder gluers
  • Communicating and engaging effectively at all levels in the organization.
  • Identify and implement improvement projects leading to increased OEE
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Function as a technical specialist to equipment or systems regarding problem-solving operations.
  • Develop and deliver technical training for various levels of the organization and serve as a resource in cross-functional platform/technology/product teams.
  • Coaches/develops operators/technicians as well as line team members through rigorous application of foundational systems.
  • Become actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedules or to resolve problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and process capability studies.
  • Routinely audit and report on the operational performance of work centers.
  • Generate packaging specifications for new items and consolidate packaging requirements for existing items .
  • Generate rudimentary project cost estimates and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Organizational, project management, problem-solving, as well as validation protocol, and technical writing capability
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Concepts
  • Knowledge of Folding Carton Production or similar manufacturing process
  • Demonstrated Analytical Problem Solving
  • Resolution of operational impediments
  • Commercialization of processes and / or products
  • Effective capital equipment purchases
  • Cost effective scoping of levers associated with materials and equipment configuration, maximizing ROI
