Job description

AGE Solutions is seeking a Senior Process Automation Engineer to support our DoD customer's process modernization initiatives focused on workflow automation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. This role will help identify and implement solutions that reduce manual effort and improve RMF execution through automation and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Evaluate workflow tools, ticketing systems, and case management platforms.
  • Develop recommendations for process automation and workflow optimization.
  • Support implementation of automation solutions using ServiceNow, Jira, and related technologies.
  • Assist with AI-enabled process improvement initiatives.
  • Create process documentation, workflow diagrams, and executive-level presentations.
  • Support modernization efforts across RMF and cybersecurity operations.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • 15 years of experience with a minimum of (5) years of experience in process improvement, workflow automation, or business process analysis.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Certifications:
    • Must have a Current DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification (Security+, CAP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
      • Additional role-specific certifications in process improvement, automation, AI/ML, or cybersecurity are highly desired.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with AI/ML, Generative AI, and intelligent automation capabilities.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Visio (process modeling, swim-lane diagrams, BPMN) and Microsoft PowerPoint (executive-quality briefings).
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) as defined in NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI-1253, and applicable DoD Instructions (e.g., DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01).
    • Familiarity with one or more of the mission areas under support: STIG/SRG/CCI development, A&A processes, Cloud A&A processes, or Cloud cybersecurity architecture.
    • Working knowledge of automation technologies (e.g., Robotic Process Automation, workflow tools such as ServiceNow or Jira) and current AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities relevant to enterprise process automation.
  • Location:
    • This is a hybrid position. Must be able to travel periodically to Fort Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA to support customer meetings, workshops, and program activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DISA, DoD, or Federal cybersecurity and digital transformation programs.
  • Experience implementing or administering workflow automation solutions using ServiceNow, Jira, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Microsoft Power Platform, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) modernization, cybersecurity operations, or Authorization and Assessment (A&A) activities.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Experience conducting business process analysis, workflow optimization, and process reengineering initiatives.
  • Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), Security+, CISSP, CISM, or other DoD 8570/8140-compliant cybersecurity certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, ServiceNow, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or other process improvement and automation-related certifications.
  • ITIL 4 Specialist: Drive Stakeholder Value (DSV), ITIL 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI), and/or ITIL 4 Specialist: High-Velocity IT (HVIT) certifications highly preferred.

The projected salary range for this position is $155,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
