Night Tour Schedule


Responsibilities:

  • The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient care
  • Collaborates with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing patient histories and conducting physical examinations
  • Perform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during procedures
  • Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communication of patient condition
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
  • Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation
  • Educate patients and family
  • Plan continuum of care

What you will need

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame)
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating)

Preferred:

  • BSN or MSN preferred
