Job Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible fordeveloping and documenting die cast processes for optimum quality and output.
Essential Functions
  • Assist operations in maintaining optimum process and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in tool design and cavity configuration for both new and existing programs.
  • Work with other departments during APQP events to ensure smooth introduction of new and revised die castings, or to resolve equipment, process, quality, efficiency or tooling issues.
  • Minor maintenance on die cast machines as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • 10 years of experience in set-up, operation and process development with die cast machines, preferably Buhler, Prince and Weingarten machines
  • A strong understanding of complex die cast tools integrated with hydraulic and electronic cylinders, slides and switches

Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Automation experience

Hours
3:00 pm - 11:30pm, Monday to Friday
Compensation
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $81,427 to $108,569. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Due to ITAR and U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment. Employees at our die casting facility can gain experience in multiple areas of manufacturing including aluminum and zinc die casting, CNC machining, automation, and quality control.
