Are you organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for an Automotive Service Dispatcher to help keep our service department running efficiently by coordinating repair work, maximizing technician productivity, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.


Our Shop Dispatcher plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring repairs move efficiently through the shop. This position works closely with service advisors, technicians, parts team members, and management to keep work flowing, maximize technician productivity, and help customers get back on the road as quickly as possible.


What You'll Do:

  • Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, certifications, and workload.
  • Monitor workflow throughout the day to maintain efficient shop production.
  • Coordinate with Service Advisors to prioritize Guest needs and promised completion times.
  • Balance technician workloads to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Track vehicle progress and proactively address delays or bottlenecks.
  • Maintain clear communication with technicians, advisors, parts personnel, and management.
  • Ensure repair orders are accurately dispatched and updated throughout the repair process.
  • Assist with scheduling shop capacity and planning daily workloads.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized service department.


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous dealership or automotive service experience preferred.
  • Experience as a dispatcher, service advisor, technician, or shop foreman is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable using dealership management systems and computer software.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.


This position is paid on an incentive-based Pay Plan. $50-$75k+/year. The compensation is comprised of a base and incentives for key metrics. There is no limit or cap on the incentive amounts!
