Job description

Business Insights & Analytics Intern - Animal Nutrition

Pay: $25/hr 

Position Duration: May 2027 – July 2027 

Position Location: Arden Hills, MN  

As a Business Insights & Analytics Intern, you'll work alongside business leaders to help optimize pricing decisions and drive profitable growth for the Animal Nutrition business unit. Through hands-on projects and cross-functional collaboration, you'll gain exposure to how data, market dynamics, and business strategies come together to influence decision-making. 

During the internship, you will: 

  • Analyze pricing, sales, market, and profitability data to identify business opportunities and support strategic recommendations. 

  • Partner with Pricing, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand how commercial decisions impact business performance. 

  • Learn how market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and commodity dynamics influence pricing strategies. 

  • Develop data analysis, business storytelling, and decision-making skills through real-world projects. 

  • Create and present insights and recommendations to business stakeholders. 

  • Gain exposure to the agricultural and animal nutrition industries while building a strong understanding of commercial strategy and revenue management. 

  • Collaborate with peers, mentors, and leaders across the organization. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with junior standing or higher. 

  • Pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Management, Economics, or related fields. 

  • Demonstrated interest in using data to solve business problems. 

  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other data visualization and analytics tools. 

  • Coursework in analytics, statistics, pricing, economics, finance, or market research. 

  • Interest in commercial strategy, pricing, revenue management, or business intelligence. 

  • Understanding of agriculture, animal nutrition, or commodity markets. 

  • Previous internship, leadership, or project experience demonstrating analytical thinking.
