JOB SUMMARY

The Accountant position is responsible for providing support to the Accounting Department, contributing to its success in its role in support of the company’s construction projects, financial reporting responsibilities, and internal controls environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting degree or business degree with a minimum of three years’ accounting experience or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • High competency of GAAP understanding and application
  • Knowledge of best practice for accounting functions such as GL, A/P, A/R, and payroll
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience working in ERP systems
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Problem solver and critical thinker who develops solutions when risks or issues are identified
  • Comfortable blazing a path and operating in ambiguous situations. Successfully map processes with how transactions flow within a system. Able to learn new concepts and create new processes independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Journal Entries, Monthly Accruals
  • Fixed Assets
  • AP, AR & Payroll Support
  • W Comp & Liability Insurance ReportingOCIP Support (enrollment, monthly reporting, audit support)
  • Sales and use tax, B&O tax review and filing preparation
  • Month-end/Year-end Reporting
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
