Ally Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW) to join our growing inpatient behavioral health team in Opp, Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to work in a 14-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Mizell Memorial Hospital, where you'll play a vital role in helping older adults navigate mental health challenges while supporting their families through treatment and discharge planning.
Whether you're looking for a part-time opportunity with the potential to grow into a full-time role or are ready to make an immediate impact, we'd love to hear from you. Ally Psychiatry is also happy to provide a supervisor for those individuals seeking to become full LICSW's!
Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and intake screenings
  • Provide individual and group therapy for geriatric psychiatric patients
  • Assist patients and families with community resources and support services
  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive, safe discharge plans
  • Collaborate with probate courts and other legal entities as needed
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
