Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The go-to person behind the desk at Cypress Creek Golfers' Club — keeping the pro shop running smoothly, welcoming every golfer who walks through the door, and pitching in wherever the operation needs you.

We are looking for a golf-savvy, customer-focused individual to serve as the primary presence at our Pro Shop desk. Day to day, you'll handle tee times, greet guests, process transactions, and make sure every golfer has what they need before and after their round.

During slower periods, you'll take the lead on a variety of operational responsibilities — from managing merchandise inventory and writing staff schedules to helping coordinate tournaments and keeping our marshals on track. This is a role for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in a well-run operation, and genuinely loves the game of golf.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

●    Pro Shop Desk (Primary)  Serve as the main point of contact for all golfers — greeting guests, processing tee time payments, handling merchandise sales, and delivering outstanding customer service on every interaction.

●    Tee Sheet Management:  Book tee times, monitor pace of play, and keep daily golfer flow running smoothly, especially during peak weekend and holiday rounds.

●    Merchandise Inventory:  During downtime — order, receive, place, and mark down Pro Shop merchandise; conduct cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels and keep the shop looking sharp.

●    Staff Scheduling:  Write and manage weekly schedules for Pro Shop staff and Cart Barn team, ensuring proper coverage during peak times, tournaments, and special events.

●    Tournament Support:  Assist with player registration, shotgun start setup, scoring support, prize distribution, and post-round logistics as needed.

●    Restaurant Coordination:  Work with the Creekside Landing Restaurant Manager on tournament and event logistics, including catering timing, beverage cart deployment, and hospitality flow.

●    Marshal Management:  Direct and manage course marshals — assigning positions, communicating expectations, and coaching for pace of play and a welcoming on-course experience.

●    Microsoft Office:  Use Word, Excel, and Outlook for scheduling, inventory tracking, tournament organization, and day-to-day communications.

●    Flexible Availability:  Maintain a schedule aligned with golf operations, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

●    Demonstrated knowledge of golf operations, rules, and etiquette

●    Experience managing a tee sheet or golf management software

●    Prior pro shop or golf facility experience

●    Proven retail inventory management skills

●    Strong scheduling and staff supervision ability

●    Tournament planning and execution experience

●    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

●    Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

●    Ability to work collaboratively across departments

●    Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
