Job description

The Pro Shop Attendant is the first point of contact for golfers and guests, providing friendly, professional service while managing tee times, retail sales, and daily pro shop operations. This role ensures a welcoming atmosphere and smooth flow of play across the course.


Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone

Schedule and manage tee times, check in players, and collect green and cart fees

Operate the point-of-sale system and process retail, food, and beverage transactions accurately

Maintain organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing merchandise displays

Assist customers with merchandise selection, club rentals, and general inquiries

Coordinate cart staging, starter duties, and pace-of-play as needed

Handle reservations, league sign-ups, and tournament registrations

Keep the pro shop, counter, and surrounding areas clean and orderly

Balance the cash drawer and complete opening and closing procedures

Communicate course conditions, policies, and promotions to guests

Support golf events, outings, and tournaments as needed


Qualifications:

Previous customer service or retail experience preferred

Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills

Basic math skills and comfort operating a point-of-sale system

Knowledge of golf, course etiquette, and equipment a plus
