Job description

Logistics Coordinator

Silvaris Corporation is looking for a motivated team player to join our company as a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a designated region procuring trucks to ensure delivery of customer orders from this region. The individual will work as a member of the Logistics Team supporting a team of 70+ sales personnel while ensuring the company goals are achieved.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • High phone and email communication volume.
  • Work with existing carrier base plus develop new carriers.
  • Clearly and concisely explain company expectations to carriers, verify information, and troubleshoot issues between multiple parties.
  • Cross-border (Customs) documentation.
  • Arrange intermodal shipping.
  • Actively contribute to the Logistics Team improvement initiatives.
  • Pro-actively work with sales staff . Including: providing rate quotes on request, clarifying load details, and informing load owners of any changes to or problems with the load in a timely manner.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High comfort level with standard business and web-based software programs.
  • Energy and Can-Do Attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking.
  • Strong rate negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work load.

Bonus Capabilities/Experience Include:

  • Truck Dispatching.
  • LTL/FTL Truck rate negotiating.
  • US/Canada Border documentation.
  • Rail/Intermodal experience.
