Under minimal supervision, instructs and supervises children in School Age Programs at PRO Club. Under the direction of the Youth Director, provides high quality youth programs to our members. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Work daily with children and families who enter your classroom
  • Change diapers
  • Prep and serve food for the kids in the classroom
  • Complete weekly curriculum planning for the classroom and complete all required record keeping tasks
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude and be willing to work extra hours and be flexible
  • Ensure the safety and care of the children in your classroom at all times
  • Enforce club policies and procedures
  • Keep classroom and club areas clean and show ready
  • Perform classroom teaching and childcare (role modeling the delivery of World Class experiences) when needed to assist other associates
  • Participate in all special events and out of club activities relating to the promotion of the Preschool Program in collaboration with Youth Director
  • Attend required meetings with the Youth Director
  • Monitor use of all supplies in your area with inventory
  • Attend all staff meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Required
  • Knowledge of working with children between the ages of 1-5 years
  • Knowledge of club policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of ECE teaching methods/strategies, classroom management techniques, curriculum standards and lesson planning

Skills Required
  • Skill in childcare, classroom management and teaching techniques
  • Skilled at remaining calm in stressful situations
  • Skilled at helping the parents feel confident that their children will be taken care of in a caring, nurturing, professional way at all times

Abilities Required
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and classroom programing to build enrollment, encourage the growth program and establish a good reputation for the Program
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to show enthusiasm for the PRO Club and for the job
  • Ability to listen, show empathy and react positively to suggestions from members and fellow staff workers and supervisors
  • Ability to create an enthusiastic atmosphere
  • Ability to follow directions and be self motivated
