To thrive as a PRN RN, you need a nursing degree, an active RN license, and a solid understanding of clinical procedures and patient care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), medication administration systems, and common clinical equipment is crucial. Excellent adaptability, communication, and time-management skills help PRN RNs adjust quickly to new settings and work effectively with different teams.
