What You'll Do as a Nurse Practitioner

As a PRN Nurse Practitioner, you play a vital role in ensuring highquality medical oversight and continuity of care. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting patient visits, physical examinations, and required FacetoFace encounters
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation
  • Collaborating with the Administrator/Director, Medical Director, and other healthcare professionals to develop and refine patient care policies
  • Working closely with the Patient Care Coordinator to ensure care meets professional standards and regulatory requirements
  • Providing guidance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), Medical Director, and Ethics Committee when complex or ethical issues arise
  • Assisting with federal, state, or local surveys and inspections as needed
  • Helping develop inservice education and training materials for clinical staff

Your work ensures patients receive compassionate, coordinated care while supporting the clinical team with expertise and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner legally authorized to practice in Oklahoma with a license free of sanctions
  • Experience in geriatrics, palliative medicine, or a related field
  • Hospice experience preferred
  • Ability to work in the field 95% of the time, including frequent bending, stooping, sitting, standing, and walking

Work Schedule

  • PRN
  • Flexible hours, Monday through Friday
