This role allows you to gain diverse experience while providing essential support to laboratory operations, making it ideal for those seeking a dynamic and flexible work environment.

What is a prn lab tech?

A PRN Lab Tech is a laboratory technician who works on an as-needed basis, filling in for staff shortages or peak workload times. They perform lab tests, analyze samples, and ensure accurate results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. PRN positions offer flexibility but may not guarantee consistent hours or benefits. This role is common in hospitals, clinics, and research labs requiring additional support.

To thrive as a Prn Lab Tech, you typically need a background in laboratory science, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately perform tests and analyze samples, often supported by an associate’s degree or relevant certification such as ASCP.
