To thrive as a PRN Clinic RN, you need a valid RN license, solid clinical skills in outpatient care, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing patient needs and schedules. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), common clinic procedures, and up-to-date BLS or ACLS certifications is crucial. Strong communication, flexibility, and reliability make a candidate stand out in this as-needed nursing position. These skills ensure efficient patient care and smooth clinic operations, especially given the variable, on-call nature of PRN work.

What are the typical work hours and scheduling expectations for a PRN Clinic RN?

As a PRN (pro re nata, or 'as needed') Clinic RN, your schedule is generally flexible and may vary from week to week, depending on the staffing needs of the clinic.
