Job description

The Innovative School of Temple Beth Sholom on Miami Beach is seeking an energetic, dynamic, reflective and intentional Elementary Level Lead Teacher, for a full-time position, starting in August 2026.

Responsibilities
As a Lead Teacher your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing approaches and methodologies that incorporate state standards while enabling a child to co-construct their learning within a joyful, academic, engaging environment.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with learners; understand their interests and curiosities as well as how they learn best. These observations and insights will contribute to decisions about curriculum, assessment, and tailored learning experiences.
  • Supporting learners' growth across social, emotional and cognitive domains.

Qualifications
The Lead Teacher brings formal training and educator experience, interpersonal skills, and a desire for professional growth to contribute to a school culture rooted in joyful learning and academic excellence.
Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or an out-of-field degree with teaching experience and state certification.
Additional Information
  • The Lead Teacher will be supported by an Assistant or Associate Teacher
  • Lead Teachers will demonstrate openness to observation and feedback and willingness to grow as a collaborative, reflective educator.
