The Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for high-net-worth households with $1+ million invested, and that invest in Empower's Premier IRA and Brokerage solutions. This role helps clients achieve long-term financial goals through personalized wealth management, investment strategy, and comprehensive financial planning while retaining and growing client net assets. At Empower, our mission is to empower financial freedom for all, and our vision is to transform financial lives through advice, people, and technology. As the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team, the Senior Private Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead partners with a Private Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to deliver an exceptional client experience. While this is not a formal people management role, this position provides day-to-day practice leadership through delegation, coaching, colleague development, and coordination of the client experience.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team, partnering with a Private Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to manage and strengthen relationships with a dedicated book of high-net-worth Empower clients enrolled in Premier and Brokerage solutions
  • Deliver proactive, personalized client consultations covering onboarding, comprehensive financial planning, investment strategy, portfolio management, investor education, and ongoing wealth management needs
  • Advise clients through video conferences, email, phone, and in-person meetings, balancing proactive client outreach with responsive service
  • Retain and grow assets under management (AUM) through proactive relationship management, clear communication, financial education, and consistent follow-through
  • Guide clients through Empower's investment strategy and help clients understand and implement portfolio solutions aligned with their financial goals, investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial plans
  • Deliver holistic financial planning across retirement planning, retirement income strategies, tax-efficient investing and savings, income optimization, education planning, and estate planning considerations, partnering with Planning Specialists on complex planning scenarios
  • Analyze and present investment portfolios and financial strategies to help clients make informed financial decisions
  • Partner with advisory team members and stakeholders across Empower Personal Wealth to coordinate solutions and ensure timely and effective resolution of client needs
  • Execute proactive financial planning initiatives and identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships, increase engagement, retain assets, and grow AUM
  • Provide practice leadership by delegating responsibilities and coaching, training, and developing colleagues to enhance team performance and the client experience
What You Will Bring
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
  • FINRA Fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management or private wealth advising high-net-worth clients
  • Experience advising high-net-worth households or managing complex wealth management relationships
  • Advanced knowledge of wealth management strategies, comprehensive financial planning, investment portfolios, retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, income optimization, and estate planning
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client needs, support multi-product goals, and analyze and present investment portfolios and financial strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective client consultations, establish trust, and build long-term client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities with strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and critical thinking
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, NetX360, and proprietary financial services and recordkeeping systems

Base Salary Range $114,000.00 - $165,300.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
