Requirements
Position Overview:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and retaining a portfolio of Personal Lines clients by delivering exceptional service, conducting proactive coverage reviews, identifying coverage solutions, and serving as a trusted insurance advisor. This role oversees the renewal process, policy servicing, account rounding opportunities, and client advocacy while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with agency standards. The Account Manager works collaboratively with carriers, producers, and internal team members to support client retention, agency growth, and an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and professional service.
• Educate clients on coverage options, policy changes, and risk management solutions.
Renewal & Retention Management:
• Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts, including coverage reviews, exposure analysis, and client consultations.
• Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions to protect client assets and exposures.
• Maintain renewal workflows and documentation in accordance with agency procedures.
Account Growth & Cross Selling:
• Identify opportunities to round accounts and expand client relationships through additional products and coverages.
• Generate referrals and support agency growth initiatives through proactive account reviews.
Policy Service & New Business Support:
• Process policy changes, endorsements, and coverage requests accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and ensure policy issuance accuracy.
• Support a seamless transition from new business placement to ongoing account management.
Carrier Claims & Coordination:
• Maintain effective working relationships with carrier partners.
• Assist clients with claim reporting and provide guidance throughout the claims process.
• Resolve underwriting, service, and policy-related issues through carrier collaboration.
Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation within the agency management system.
• Ensure compliance with agency standards, carrier requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Team Collaboration:
• Participate in department meetings, training, and agency initiatives.
• Support team members during high-volume periods and contribute to a positive team culture.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
• Active Texas P&C License.
• Strong understanding of Personal Lines coverages, including homeowners, automobile, umbrella, flood, and recreational vehicle policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with agency management systems, Applied Epic preferred, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with high-net-worth or private client accounts, preferred but not required.
Success Metrics
• Achieve and maintain agency retention goals for assigned book of business.
• Complete renewal reviews and client outreach within established agency timelines.
• Consistently identify account rounding and cross-selling opportunities.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Meet departmental service standards for responsiveness, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned accounts from renewal through policy service.
