Lake Forest High School District 115 is seeking a Private Music Instructor.
Description: The designee will supervise students and will organize approved events throughout the year in order to meet the needs of the specific area. The designee will create, facilitate and manage student rehearsals, meetings, performances, and activities.
Stipend: Instruction rate is set by the district: Half-period (22.5 min)=$26; 30 minute lesson=$35; 45 minute lesson=$52; 60 minute lesson=$69; paid directly by students
Benefits: Not Benefit Eligible
General Duties:
  • Holds individual coaching on a regular basis.
  • May run sectional rehearsals, if requested.
  • Maintains positive relationships with students, supports our diverse populations, and interacts with students and adults in a respectful manner
  • Communicates and holds students accountable to a standard of expected behavior.
  • Provides supervision and safety of students, materials, equipment and facilities.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by administration.
  • Coordinates lessons/instruction with music directors and supports music department goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
  • Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Address concerns and offer suggestions in an appropriate and confidential manner.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.
  • Ability to communicate to students, parents, and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
  • Understanding of music instructional practices and a strong background in desired areas.
