Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage a substantial pipeline of prospective loans

Job description

The opportunity

F2 Finance is looking for a proven loan originator who knows the private lending market, have an established network, and can consistently close loans.

We offer a highly competitive base salary and an aggressive, uncapped commission structure designed to reward top performers.

This is not an entry-level position. To be considered, you must have:

  • At least two years of experience as a loan officer
  • Direct experience at a private lender, hard money lender, or bridge lending company
  • A verifiable track record of originating at least $1 million per month

If you do not meet these requirements, please do not apply.

About F2 Finance

F2 Finance is a fast-growing, real estate lender focused on short-term residential bridge loans, fix and flip financing, and other business-purpose real estate loans.

We are a true balance-sheet lender. We control our capital, make credit decisions in-house, and can move quickly when a transaction makes sense. We have substantial capital available for growth and are building a national lending platform for real estate entrepreneurs and investors who value speed, certainty, and direct access to their lender.

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious lender with the capital and appetite to close loans, without the bureaucracy or funding uncertainty found at many other platforms.

The role

You will be responsible for generating new business, developing relationships with borrowers and brokers, and managing opportunities from initial inquiry through closing.

Our preference is for this role to be based in our Santa Monica office. However, we are open to a remote arrangement for an exceptional candidate with a strong production history and the discipline to perform without day-to-day supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Originate short-term bridge, fix and flip, and other business-purpose real estate loans
  • Develop relationships with borrowers, brokers, real estate investors, and referral partners
  • Build and manage a substantial pipeline of prospective loans
  • Work company-generated leads while conducting consistent outbound business development
  • Qualify opportunities against F2 Finance's credit appetite
  • Structure and present transactions clearly to the credit team
  • Maintain oversight of loans through processing, underwriting, and closing
  • Deliver clear, proactive communication to customers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and relationship information in HubSpot
  • Represent F2 Finance at relevant conferences and industry events

Requirements

You must have:

  • At least two years of experience as a loan officer
  • Direct experience in private lending, hard money, residential bridge lending, or fix and flip finance
  • A verifiable track record of originating at least $1 million per month
  • An established network of relevant borrowers, brokers, investors, or referral sources
  • Strong knowledge of private lending transactions and credit considerations
  • The ability to build, manage, and convert a large pipeline
  • Strong sales, relationship management, and communication skills
  • A disciplined approach to prospecting, follow-up, and CRM management
  • The ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment
  • A customer-focused, commercially minded approach
  • Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a genuine drive to produce results

Experience with HubSpot, Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace would be an advantage.

Remote candidates must also demonstrate a history of high performance in an autonomous environment, with excellent responsiveness and reporting discipline.

What success looks like

A successful originator will:

  • Consistently originate at least $1 million per month, with the expectation of growing beyond that level
  • Build a repeatable pipeline of borrowers and brokers
  • Convert opportunities efficiently while protecting credit quality
  • Take ownership of transactions from initial contact through closing
  • Generate repeat business and become a trusted financing partner to active real estate investors

Benefits

Compensation and benefits
  • Generous base salary
  • Aggressive, uncapped commission and bonus structure
  • Significant earning potential for high performers
  • Medical insurance
  • 401(k) with employer contribution
  • Paid time off
  • Direct access to decision-makers
  • Parking, endless snacks, quality coffee, and regular team lunches for office-based employees

The strongest candidates will receive a package reflecting their production history, relationships, and expected contribution.
