Their duties typically include cleaning rooms, doing laundry, ironing, running errands, and sometimes cooking or grocery shopping. Private housekeepers may also be responsible for managing household supplies and occasionally supervising other domestic staff. They are employed directly by homeowners or families, often working in either live-in or live-out arrangements. Trustworthiness, attention to detail, and discretion are important qualities in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a private housekeeper?

To thrive as a Private Housekeeper, you need expertise in cleaning techniques, attention to detail, time management, and often prior experience in domestic service. These skills ensure a clean, organized, and smoothly run household, meeting the high expectations of private clients.
