Job description

An armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard deters hostile elements and protects DOD personnel, facilities, information, and material resources against criminal trespass, terrorism, and other unlawful activities. Locations of performance shall be Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring in Kuwait. Duties include vehicle and pedestrian security screening, perimeter surveillance, internal mobile patrols, and the ability to operate USG communication equipment and wed-based applications.
Responsibilities
  1. The armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard is required to pass an annual Physical Ability Test per AR 190-56, as well as qualifying annually with government-approved weapon(s).
  2. The armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard shall continually observe entry points, perimeter, and surrounding areas to identify suspicious personnel, vehicles, objects and activities that are seen as either posing a threat to or observing U.S. facilities and equipment.
  3. The armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard shall be aware of, and abide by, all post and general orders.
  4. The armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard shall be properly trained, equipped, briefed, and mentally and physically prepared to conduct roving patrols or staff a fixed post.
  5. The armed Fixed/Mobile/Roving Guard shall demonstrate a fluency in English equivalency of a level 2+ based on the Interagency Language Roundtable.
Qualifications
  1. U.S. Citizen - must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
  2. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
  3. Must have two years of combined honorable military, law enforcement, or private security experience.
  4. Must have received an honorable discharge as verified by a form DD-214 (U.S. Military).
  5. Prior experience in armed forces, police, or private security company in a contingency area a plus.
