Job description

Great Place Construction is a private construction firm that specializes in commercial construction. We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to facilitate, analyze and manage field coordination as part of the on-site management team. DUTIES:
  • Develop/implement pre-construction quality control plan.
  • Assist in obtaining/maintaining construction permits.
  • Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
  • Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
  • Facilitate project close out.
  • Actively participating in expanding your knowledge of construction means and methods by participating in project processes; rfi's, submittals, as-builts, schedules, etc.
  • Be an active participant in elevating yourself and the team around you.
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of construction means, methods and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or working toward a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Valid DL and good driving record
