What you can expect as a Financial Reporting Analyst:

    • Preparation of routine and ad-hoc financial and operational reports to Executive Management and departments.
    • Accurate and timely preparation of various financial regulatory filings and data calls.
    • Compile and analyze financial reports and proactively identify and research discrepancies that require management’s attention.
    • Design, develop, document, and maintain Power BI reports and other financial infrastructure.
    • Assist with maintaining reporting requirements documentation and perform quality assurance and regression/business user testing of reports for the Accounting/Finance Department.
    • Assist with analyzing business process and product/software changes to ensure changes affecting any Accounting/Finance processes, existing reports or new reporting needs are properly documented, planned, and implemented.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge and application of accounting principles, internal controls, and quality assurance practices, as well as a conceptual understanding of and familiarity with the core accounting reports, regulatory filings and data calls, key performance indicators, and company systems.
    • Support in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other day-to-day tasks as assigned.


What we are looking for as a Financial Reporting Analyst:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting Information Systems, Accounting or Finance
  • Enterprise resource planning and accounting information systems experience preferred
  • Experience with data analytics, database management software, DAX and BI tools a plus
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principals
  • Financial services or insurance industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and a self-starter attitude necessary
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively on tasks with competing priority
  • Experience working in dynamic and team environment
  • Fast learner with Interpersonal skills to develop relationship between the business and the system to enhance the appropriate flow of information
