Job description

Part time position available for qualified LPN or certified medical assistant in busy nephrology office.  

Duties:

- Perform administrative tasks such as answering and returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, faxes, etc.

- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments

- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies

- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine tests

- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Prior auth completion

Skills:

- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Nebraska Nursing License required

- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred

- Computer proficiency
