The Opportunity


We’re looking for a full-time Rewinder Operator – Printing & Packaging to join our growing production team. In this role, you’ll operate and support rewinding equipment used to finish high-quality labels and shrink-sleeve packaging for leading brands in wine & spirits, health & beauty, and food & beverage.


You’ll play a critical role in the final stage of production—ensuring printed materials are slit, inspected, and rewound to customer specifications with precision and consistency.


You’ll work in a bright, clean facility with state-of-the-art printing and converting equipment and be responsible for maintaining quality, efficiency, and throughput on the rewinder.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating machinery, and taking ownership of quality and output.


Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Operate rewinding equipment to slit and rewind printed materials to customer specifications
  • Set up jobs including core loading, blade positioning, tension settings, and web alignment
  • Inspect printed material during rewinding to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues
  • Ensure finished rolls meet specifications for width, diameter, and winding quality
  • Manage roll changes, splicing, and material handling throughout production runs
  • Package finished rolls and prepare them for the next stage or shipment
  • Accurately record production data, including quantities, waste, and job performance
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of rewinding equipment
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and escalate when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with press operators, finishing teams, and supervisors
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and efficiency  


Requirements:

  What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment or working in a production environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and consistency
  • Ability to identify defects in printed materials and take corrective action
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities during production runs
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Experience with slitting, rewinding, or converting equipment is a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a production environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a moderately loud production environment
  • Visual acuity to distinguish color, detail, and print quality
