Job Summary:

Engage in manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, painting, silk screening, plating, assembly, and machine operation.

Painting

  • Read work orders and similar documentation to stage product for painting.
  • Prepare product for painting, to include cleaning and masking the product.
  • Prepare paint for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns.
  • Use cleaning fluids to clean the machines and the work area.
  • Apply paint to various parts and miscellaneous components.
  • Operate paint booths.
  • Operate hand-held paint spray guns.
  • Observe paint results for quality.
  • Make decisions regarding acceptability of results.
  • Troubleshoot when product appearance is less than desired.
  • Control temperature, operate and clean paint equipment, check and adjust paint viscosity.
  • Other duties include cleaning and maintenance of paint booths, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and to service and check chemical levels in appropriate locations.

Silk Screening (manual process)

  • Preparing the stencils.
  • Mixing and loading the screen ink.
  • Printing the final design.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the printing machine.
  • Troubleshooting errors.
  • Drying final printed articles.

Metal Plating

  • Chemical coating metal products using plating process (submersion tanks).
  • Setting up and operating plating equipment.
  • Maintaining plating lines.
  • Monitoring the plating process.
  • Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy.

Assembly

  • Putting together component parts or pieces following blueprints or schematics.
  • Verifying correct quantities of parts and checking completed items for quality.
  • Managing parts inventory.
  • Using hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products and structures.

Machine Operation

  • Operating various types of machinery such as brakes, presses, shears, CNC's, etc.
  • Performing routine maintenance checks.
  • Following strict safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Operating mechanical or computer-operated equipment.
  • Inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

Hazardous Material Handling

  • Responsible for storing, moving, and managing various hazardous or non-hazardous materials.

Inventory

  • Maintains proper inventory levels of materials and supplies.
  • Re-stock items as necessary.

Tow Motor Operation

  • Operates power forklift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist material as needed.

General

  • Must follow all safety policy and procedures.
  • Must always follow good housekeeping practices including 5S.
  • Must strive to meet and exceed inventory accuracy requirements set forth by the company.
  • Must work well in a team environment and work well with others.
  • Must strive to meet on-time delivery requirements set forth by the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and
  • Three years experience in a related environment.
  • Physical Demands & Environment - Physically mobile, must be able to lift, twist, stand, bend, within a manufacturing area setting.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
