Job description

Summary:

Crazy Shirts purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The printer position is an internally certified position responsible for applying the art onto our products and capable of independently operating all facets of the primary equipment used to perform the tasks to complete the finished product.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Set up the printing press and print jobs using information documented on sample sheets.
  • Maintain equipment controls and adjustments to ensure output quality and productivity is consistently performing at minimum expected standard rates.
  • Monitor the entire process of job set up, printing with aptitude to make all adjustments as necessary to replicate the approved design sample within acceptable tolerances.
  • Records and certifies the set of work order layout through print job completion and all labor and work order accounting for the job.
  • Consistently meets set up times, change over and expected output metrics and scheduled yield volumes within specified time frames.
  • Develop knowledge of the pigments involved in color matching and the effect of these pigments when used with the translucent and/or opaque printing base.
  • Develop knowledge of how to account for work management accounting in current and future systems.
  • Responsible for managing their team with minimal direct supervision.
  • Responsible for the teams performance to consistently meet set up times, changeover times, expected quality and productivity metrics and scheduled yield volumes within specified time frames.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to distinguish very subtle shades and colors

  • Experience with automated screen print operation/techniques, knowledge of water-based inks helpful

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Pass the background screening

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items up to 45lbs.

  • Performing repetitive motions throughout shift

  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels

  • Passing forklifts may emit gas and stop traffic in the common areas

  • The warehouse environment may be dusty, noisy, and open to interior temperature changes

  • The use of appropriate PPEincluding eye and ear protection, rubber gloves as needed for comfort,

  • Must be able to abide by the companys Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response guidelines as it relates to the spread of communicable diseases, and workplace safety; this includes use of masks (as needed and required per CDC and Company recommendations) and the ability to use cleaning supplies for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
