Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folding equipment to produce high-quality inserts and printed materials. Candidates must have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

2nd and 3rd Shift Available!

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate insert folding equipment
  • Perform machine make-ready processes and minor adjustments
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Locate and prepare materials (flatstock) for production
  • Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to specifications
  • Follow all SOPs, work instructions, and 6S standards
  • Assemble trays and shipping materials as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating folding or similar production equipment required
  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read and use a ruler accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
  • Strong math, reading, and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures
  • Must pass mechanical aptitude, reading, and color vision tests
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Mandatory overtime may be required, including an A/B schedule for Saturdays (every other weekend as needed)
  • PPE required at all times: steel-toe boots, eye protection, and hearing protection
  • No cell phone usage allowed on the production floor
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
