Job description

Role Overview

The digital textile print application specialist focuses on the design and implementation of digital printing techniques for textiles. This is a full-time on-site role in our Rochester NY facility (Monday through Friday).  involves creating high-quality prints on fabrics using digital technology. They ensure that the printing processes are efficient and produce vibrant, durable designs. Specialists also collaborate with designers and manufacturers to optimize print quality and meet specific client needs. Their expertise is crucial for advancing sustainable and innovative textile printing practices.

Qualifications include:
Educational Background:  Associate or bachelor's degree preferred but not required in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or related field.  Heavily leaning toward industry experience.
Experience:   Several years (typically 5-7+) of experience in digital textile printing or related areas.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
Proficient in color profiling software.
Understanding of digital printing technologies and processes DTF, FTF, DTG.


Design Skills:
Strong creative abilities in textile design and print development.
Familiarity with color theory, pattern making, and textile characteristics.

Knowledge of Industry Standards:
Awareness of sustainable practices in textile printing and environmental regulations.
Understanding digital print production processes, including pre-press and post-press techniques.


Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to troubleshoot printing issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality.
Train and interface with customers via voice, digital, and face to face. (30% travel)


Collaboration and Communication:
Strong teamwork skills to work alongside R&D chemists, designers, print manufacturers, and clients.

Ability to produce accurate and high-quality print designs.
