These roles can include operating printing presses, preparing materials for print, managing digital print files, and ensuring quality control throughout the production cycle. Printing professionals work in industries like publishing, packaging, advertising, and apparel. Responsibilities may vary depending on the type of printing technology used, such as offset, digital, or screen printing. Training or experience with printing machinery and attention to detail are often required for these roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a printing ink technician?

To thrive as a Printing Ink Technician, you need a solid understanding of ink formulation, color theory, and printing processes, usually supported by technical training or vocational certification. Familiarity with color matching systems, spectrophotometers, and quality control software is typically required.
