Job description

2nd Shift Printing Press Operator

Pay: $24-$28/hr. (Depending on experience level)

Shift:

  • 1st - 5AM-3PM (Mon-Th)
  • 2nd - 3PM-1AM (Mon-Th)

{May train on 1st Shift and May work on weekends/holidays as needed}

Summary:

  • We are seeking a Printing Press Operator for a printing company located in York, PA.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous press or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand work orders, production schedules, and basic machine instructions.

Job Duties:

  • Set up and operate the printing press.
  • Make adjustments to speed, temperature, pressure, and ink as needed.
  • Monitor the press during production to make sure everything is running properly.
  • Check printed materials for quality, color, registration, and defects.
  • Make corrections when print quality issues are found.
  • Follow work orders and production schedules.
  • Change patterns, cylinders, and other press parts as needed.
  • Set up and use the rewind/unwind system.
  • Collect print samples and inspect them during production.
  • Clean and oil the press and perform basic maintenance.
  • Help with minor repairs and report larger issues to maintenance.
  • Complete required paperwork and production records.
  • Keep the press and work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Clean up the press at the end of each job.
  • Work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
