Location: Jefferson City, MO
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Pay: $18.00/hour
Free onsite parking.
Essential Functions:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for receiving, reviewing, and electronically logging customer print production requests.
  • Produce high-quality print materials by operating high-volume printers, copiers, and standard finishing equipment, including paper cutters, laminators, inserters, hole punchers, and folding equipment.
  • Perform document assembly, finishing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of completed production jobs.
  • Estimate, schedule, prioritize, and track incoming production work to meet customer deadlines.
  • Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after each production run to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Scan, sort, and convert hardcopy documents into digital formats using standard software applications.
  • Inspect electronic files for formatting issues, image quality, fonts, and registration before production.
  • Process incoming and outgoing faxes, maintain billing logs, and update production records.
  • Apply asset tags to office equipment, maintain inventory databases, and coordinate equipment moves, additions, and changes.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, meter reads, and coordinate service requests when needed.
  • Maintain inventory of production and office supplies and distribute materials as required.
  • Archive and back up customer files for future reproduction and reuse.
  • Integrate variable data into print templates and perform standard file and document conversions.
  • Provide basic equipment training and support to customer end users as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production issues to ensure timely completion of customer requests.

Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, sort and filter data, generate graphs, and import/export information.
  • Strong PC skills, including file management, network drives, printer connectivity, email, and web-based applications.
  • Experience operating production printers, copiers, scanners, and finishing equipment.
  • Knowledge of print production workflows, document preparation, and file management.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a production environment.

Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service environment.
  • Previous experience in print production, copy center operations, mail services, or document finishing is preferred.
  • Experience operating high-volume production equipment and managing multiple print jobs is highly desirable.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary technology training or equivalent work experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
