Printer Operator / Print Shop Production

About Us:
Lightfire Printing is a fast-growing custom print shop specializing in DTF transfers, embroidery, wide-format printing, and personalized apparel and products. We produce high-volume custom orders for businesses, events, and online customers.
Our shop operates multiple production departments including DTF printing, embroidery, heat pressing, and wide-format printing. We are committed to quality, efficiency, and maintaining a strong team-oriented work environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Printer Operator / Print Shop Production Operator to join our production team.
This position will work with multiple printing systems and production equipment across the shop. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn different types of print equipment and production workflows.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow production procedures, and maintaining consistent output and quality.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor DTF printers during production runs.
  • Prepare and load gang sheets for printing.
  • Assist with operating other shop printers and production equipment.
  • Apply powder and manage curing process for DTF transfers.
  • Perform daily printer maintenance (cleaning printheads, ink checks, basic upkeep).
  • Ensure accurate color output and print alignment.
  • Maintain production speed to meet daily output goals.
  • Troubleshoot minor printer issues and report larger issues to management.
  • Perform quality control checks on printed transfers and finished products.
  • Assist with heat pressing garments when needed.
  • Keep production areas clean and organized.
  • Track and report inventory needs such as film, ink, powder, and materials.

Equipment You May Work With:
  • DTF printers.
  • Heat press machines.
  • Wide-format printers.

  • Cutting and finishing equipment.
  • General print shop production tools

Training will be provided for equipment not previously used.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating DTF printers or other print equipment preferred.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs when necessary.

Schedule:
  • (6:00 AM โ€“ 3:00 PM) or (3:00 PM โ€“ 11:00 PM).
  • 35โ€“40 hours per week.
  • Consistent schedule.
