Job description

Position Summary

The Machine Operator / Print Production Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of print production using commercial-grade printers and mail inserting equipment. This role includes operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring quality control, preparing printed materials for shipment to the United States Postal Service, and assisting with general warehouse and production tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, willing to learn, and able to thrive in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial printers and mail inserting machines to produce printed mailings and other materials
  • Perform all areas of the print production process from setup through completion
  • Ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within production deadlines
  • Monitor workflow and manage job throughput to maintain production schedules
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure printed materials meet order specifications
  • Perform basic printer and machine maintenance
  • Assist with ordering paper, supplies, and inventory as needed
  • Prepare pallets of printed materials and boxes for transport to the United States Postal Service
  • Load and unload packages while ensuring materials are handled safely and securely

Qualifications

  • Ability to regularly lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
