Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain print, copy, and scanning equipment, including printers, copiers, scanners, and multifunction devices, to provide reliable and efficient print services to guests and crew members.
Monitor print queues, prioritize print jobs, and troubleshoot technical issues with print equipment, such as paper jams, toner replacement, and print quality problems, to ensure uninterrupted printing operations.
Receive and process print requests from guests, crew members, and onboard departments, including documents, boarding passes, tickets, forms, and promotional materials, and produce high-quality prints in a timely manner.
Assist guests and crew members with print-related inquiries, issues, and requests, providing guidance on printing options, file formats, and document specifications, and ensuring customer satisfaction with print services.
Maintain inventory of print supplies, such as paper, toner cartridges, and maintenance kits, and reorder supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize disruptions to print operations.
Coordinate with onboard departments, such as guest services, event planning, and administration, to support their printing and document needs, including printing signage, menus, schedules, and event materials.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards for print operations, data security, and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the print room, equipment storage areas, and workspaces, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in printing technology, graphic design, or related field is a plus.
years of experience in print production, copy center operations, or document services, with proficiency in operating digital print equipment, such as printers, copiers, and scanners.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of print software, file formats, and print settings, with the ability to troubleshoot print-related issues and perform routine maintenance on print equipment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, crew members, and internal stakeholders to understand their print needs and provide effective solutions.
Attention to detail and accuracy in print production, with the ability to follow instructions, review print proofs, and ensure the quality and consistency of printed materials.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver timely print services in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 operation onboard a cruise ship.
