Print Production Supervisor – Morning ShiftPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Print Production Supervisor to lead our morning shift production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong production leader who understands high-volume print environments and knows how to keep people, equipment, and workflow moving efficiently.The Print Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the complete production process, from incoming job requests through the completion of printed and scanned materials. This position will lead and support production employees, coordinate daily workflow, ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met, and maintain an efficient and organized production environment.The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can manage people, solve problems, prioritize production needs, and jump in when necessary to keep operations running smoothly.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the Print Production Supervisor, you will:Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership to production staff.Coordinate employee work schedules and assignments based on production volume and workflow.Read and interpret job tickets to ensure production requirements are completed accurately.Provide employees with clear instructions regarding job requirements, priorities, and department expectations.Train, coach, and guide employees on proper production procedures and equipment operation.Maintain a strong understanding of department processes, procedures, workflow, and equipment.Monitor production throughout the shift to ensure quality standards and deadlines are consistently met.Complete required production reports and maintain accurate documentation.Identify production issues and implement practical solutions to minimize delays.Delegate assignments effectively while monitoring progress and holding employees accountable for results.Promote teamwork, productivity, safety, and continuous process improvement.Lead employees in a professional, fair, and consistent manner.Ensure department policies, company procedures, and employee handbook requirements are followed.QualificationsWe are looking for someone who brings both production knowledge and strong leadership skills to the role.High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 5 years of related production, print operations, business unit leadership, or supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience leading employees in a production or manufacturing environment.Print production, digital printing, document processing, or high-volume production experience is strongly preferred.Ability to organize workflow, prioritize competing deadlines, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot practical production and equipment-related problems.Ability to read and interpret written instructions, job tickets, diagrams, schedules, and production requirements.Strong communication, leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills.Computer SkillsCandidates should be comfortable working with:Basic Windows computer applications.Microsoft Office Suite.Computer-based production information, reports, graphs, and data.Leadership SkillsSuccessful candidates will be able to:Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees.Plan staffing based on production needs.Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable.Delegate responsibilities while allowing employees to work independently.Recognize strong performance and provide constructive feedback when needed.Identify problems, analyze available information, and develop effective solutions.Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and department processes.Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to:Lift up to 50 pounds.Move roll stock with the assistance of a pallet jack.Work in an active production environment.Perform the physical responsibilities associated with supervising and supporting production operations.Work EnvironmentThis position is performed primarily in a fast-paced production environment.
