Job Title: Marketing Associate

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Marketing Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties to support the Marketing Department by assisting with logistical and administrative duties including analyzing metrics and creating reports. Position requires a firm understanding on various marketing platforms and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing. This position aligns with someone who is a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of

marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing.

2. Independently coordinate marketing and community events, including overseeing logistics,

coordinating with vendors, and ordering marketing items.

3. Track deliverables and deadlines with marketing partnership agreements and sponsorships.

4. Maintain records of invoices, sponsorships, donations.

5. Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs.

6. Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and

creating comprehensive reports.

7. Organize and track promotional items.

8. Completes daily tasks as needed for marketing department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum 1 year experience working in marketing preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Position requires an Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and;

3. Familiarity with or aptitude for working with a technology-driven product is helpful. Knowledge of general computer use is required.

4.Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding proofreading skills.

NICHE SKILLS:

Requires basic technical or professional experience specific to wireless communications or related industry. Requires knowledge of industry terminology and general operating procedures relative to one's own job. Average recruitment period is 6 weeks to 3 months with advanced recruitment effort.

MENTAL EFFORT AND ANALYTICAL ABILITY:

Position requires mental effort or analytical ability to gather and interpret information in situations where the problems are somewhat complex.

VISUAL AND/OR PHYSICAL STRAIN:

Work frequently produces a high level of mental, visual and/or physical fatigue between 21% and 50% of work time.

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:

This position very frequently (51% to 80% of work time) requires contact with others within and/or outside the company. Matters discussed and decisions made are of a routine nature. The overall success of the Company may or may not be influenced by decisions made.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT AND CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position has minimal or no responsibility for the work of others.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Job is performed under good working conditions, almost completely absent of disagreeable elements. Associate is exposed to adverse or hazardous working conditions 5% or less of total work time.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Climb stairs and/or ladders.
  2. Lift boxes, such as those containing promotional materials weighing approximately 5 to 30 pounds.
  3. Work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines or respond to emergencies.
  4. Differentiate between colors.
  5. Operate general office equipment (i.e., fax machine, photocopier, computer printer) stationed between 3 and 4 feet high.
  6. Quickly and accurately access and enter information using an automated system.
  7. Sit for long periods of time.
  8. Maintain attendance according to company policy.
  9. Must be able to pass an MVR screening to be insured under company vehicle insurance.
  10. Occasional travel may be required.
