Job description

General Function: 

  • Provide general assistance as determined by the department. 
  1. High school diploma.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to collaborate effectively with ADS staff.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and quick learner.
  5. Patience and empathy; maintaining confidentiality in all our work.
 
Student aide/Front Desk
  • Greet/direct students, visitors, staff and faculty and provide customer service at the front desk.
  • Answer phone calls and assist callers, or messages through TEAMS.
  • Schedule appointments in our proprietary software system and make Custom Requests as appropriate.
  • Provide information about ADS processes and events.
  • Perform data entry tasks - Sort and distribute mail.
  • Scan or print documents as needed.
  • Keep office supplies organized and stocked. 
  • Assist staff with administrative tasks.
  • Help with organizing ADS events.
  • Being bilingual in Spanish or American Sign Language is an added advantage. 
Lab Aide position assists a student with a disability/disabilities in a lab class; may include providing manual manipulation of papers, books, other lab work as needed.
