Job description

Description:

Arrowfly, LLC seeks a strategic, data-driven, and structurally minded Vice President of B2B Audience Development to lead our audience growth, engagement, and retention strategies across a robust portfolio of 30+ distinct brands and 40+ annual events. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional audience channels and cutting-edge marketing technology, managing a modern, hybrid ecosystem that spans digital products, live events, and print circulation.

Working hand-in-hand with our Content Leadership, you will serve as the crucial link between data insights and creative execution. You will collaborate directly with journalists and content creators to help shape and refine our "audience voice," ensuring our content resonates deeply with our professional communities while driving measurable growth.

Additionally, you will directly manage, mentor and scale a dedicated team of audience development professionals (spanning data analytics, email marketing, digital acquisition, and circulation fulfillment).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Multi-Brand & Event Growth Strategy: Define and execute unified yet tailored audience acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies across our entire portfolio of 30+ B2B brands and 30+ events.
  • Editorial Collaboration & Audience Voice: Partner closely with the VP of Content, journalists, and content creators. Translate audience data into actionable insights that help creative teams refine their editorial strategy, develop a distinct audience voice, and build community loyalty without compromising editorial integrity.
  • Systems Architecture & Data Connectivity: Oversee the technical integration of our marketing tech stack. Ensure seamless data flows and connectivity between our CRM, Customer Data Platform (CDP), Email Service Provider (ESP), website analytics, and external fulfillment databases to maintain a single source of truth for our audience data.
  • Print Circulation Management: Oversee the strategy, vendor relationships, and compliance for our print circulation portfolio. Ensure accurate list maintenance, postal optimization, and adherence to relevant industry audit standards (e.g., BPA/AAM).
  • Team Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a high-performing team of 4 specialists. Foster a culture of technical curiosity, creative collaboration, and accountability while helping team members achieve their career goals.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Allocate and manage the audience development budget effectively, balancing the manufacturing/distribution costs of print and event execution with the scalable acquisition costs of digital channels.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, or audience development, with a proven track record of managing large, multi-brand portfolios and event audiences.
  • Editorial Sensibility: Strong experience interfacing directly with journalists, editors, and content creators. You understand the creative process and know how to use data to empower—not restrict—content teams.
  • Technical Architecture & System Acumen: Proven experience mapping and managing data architecture. You understand how APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations connect platforms like HubSpot/Marketo, Salesforce, CDPs (e.g., Lytics, Tealium), and traditional circulation fulfillment systems.
  • Print & Digital Hybrid Expertise: A strong understanding of print circulation logistics, fulfillment operations, and subscriber lifecycle management, paired with a modern digital growth mindset.
  • Leadership Track Record: 3+ years of direct people management experience. You know how to motivate a small team to deliver outsized results across a large, complex organization.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to translate complex, multi-channel data sets into clear, actionable growth strategies. You speak the language of database health, query logic, and engagement scoring.

WHAT WE OFFER

We believe that a highly engaged audience is our greatest asset. As our VP of Audience Development, you will have the unique opportunity to shape both our physical and digital footprint across dozens of industries, backed by an editorial and engineering leadership team that values robust technical infrastructure and continuous innovation. In addition, the following benefits are available:

  • Competitive salary
  • Premium medical, dental, vision and other health plans – you choose what fits your needs
  • Full vested 401(k) match to help you prepare for your future
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick, float, bereavement, 12 office holidays and flexible working hours
  • Supportive work/life balance and paid parental leave
  • Dynamic, dedicated, fun and hard-working environment
  • A collaborative work environment in a growing market
  • Consistently ranked as a Top Workplace and included on the Forbes 5000 Fastest Growing Companies for 5+ years
