Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Principal Voice Network Engineer to help design, modernize, and support enterprise voice and unified communications platforms across a large-scale, highly available environment.

This role is ideal for a senior Voice Network Engineer with deep expertise in SIP, VoIP, Cisco Collaboration, and enterprise telephony solutions. You'll play a key role in driving voice modernization initiatives, improving platform resiliency, and supporting critical communications services across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support enterprise voice network solutions utilizing SIP technologies across complex, distributed environments.
  • Engineer and maintain Oracle voice platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Configure, administer, and optimize Cisco Unified Communications and Microsoft Teams Voice platforms, including call routing, dial plans, and voice policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice, network, and unified communications issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Develop and enhance voice infrastructure architectures that support business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilient communications services.
  • Partner with network, security, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate voice solutions into enterprise technology ecosystems.
  • Implement and maintain voice network and application security controls, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead technology upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives for voice and communications platforms while minimizing operational risk and service disruptions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least seven years of experience managing and delivering network services within a complex technology environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Strong expertise in Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), including call flows, signaling, session border controllers (SBCs), and troubleshooting.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle voice solutions, administration, configuration, and platform lifecycle management.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco Voice technologies, including CUCM, Unity Connection, Expressway, and related collaboration solutions.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Teams Voice, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and enterprise telephony integrations.
  • Strong understanding of voice networking concepts, including QoS, routing, switching, VLANs, WAN/LAN architectures, and VoIP design principles.
  • Expertise in voice security and application security, including SBCs, encryption, authentication, threat mitigation, and secure communications architecture.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex cross‑functional issues involving voice infrastructure, network services, and integrated applications.
  • Experience with automation, monitoring, and performance management tools supporting enterprise communications and network environments.

Location Expectation

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
