Envision Yourself At Barracuda
The Principal Security Practice Architect is a senior technical advisor responsible for shaping, enabling, and elevating the security capabilities of strategic Barracuda MSP partners. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic thought leadership to help partners design, build, and optimise security services based on Barracuda's portfolio and industry best practices.
You will guide partners through architectural design, security assessments, maturity planning, and service development, while also supporting presales engagements through workshops, PoCs, and solution guidance. Acting as a bridge between product, sales, and the partner ecosystem, you'll help define and scale repeatable blueprints, frameworks, and reference architectures across our global MSP community.
What you'll be working on
  • Develop and deliver security service blueprints, maturity models, and bestpractice frameworks for MSP partners.
  • Run executivelevel workshops to align partner leadership on security strategy, service monetization, and operational models.
  • Provide thought leadership on security trends, threat landscapes, MSP market drivers, and evolving customer needs.
  • Support GTM strategy by aligning partner service offerings with Barracuda's security roadmap.
  • Create reusable methodologies, templates, and playbooks that partners can adopt to scale secure service delivery.
  • Conduct deep-dive architectural sessions, PoCs, assessments, and design reviews across Barracuda's security portfolio.
  • Validate technical requirements and translate them into recommended architectures and deployment patterns.
  • Collaborate with partners to build secure cloud, email, data protection, and network security architectures.
  • Perform security assessments and provide remediation recommendations.
  • Support complex RFI/RFP responses and provide technical thought leadership during competitive situations.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor during partner solution development cycles.
  • Enable MSPs through technical workshops, bootcamps, and hands-on training sessions.
  • Follow up during evaluation phases to ensure successful outcomes and high adoption.
  • Support business case development, including ROI/TCO analysis for partner services.
  • Evangelize Barracuda's security approach at partner events, webinars, and community forums.
  • Collaborate with channel and partner success teams to identify growth opportunities and remove technical barriers.
What you bring to the role
  • 8+ years in security architecture, presales engineering, or consulting roles.
  • Experience working with MSPs, MSSPs, or service provider environments.
  • Strong understanding of common security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, NIST, etc.)
  • Handson expertise in cloud security, network security, email security, or data protection technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with Clevel stakeholders and deliver impactful workshops.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure/AWS security, or similar.
  • Experience creating repeatable service constructs, playbooks, or reference architectures.
  • Strong understanding of MSP commercial models and service monetization.
  • Prior experience in partner-facing or channel-focused roles.
What you'll get from us
A team where you can voice your opinion, make an impact, and where you and your experience are valued. Internal mobility - there are opportunities for cross training and the ability to attain your next career step within Barracuda.
  • High-quality health benefits
  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Career-growth opportunities
  • Flexible Time Off and Paid Time Off benefits
  • Volunteer opportunities

The anticipated earnings range for this role is 179,000 to 206,000 OTE. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
